It has been a little while since I have released music, as I needed a little break from the social media grind after a wonderful yet tough chapter of my life.
During my break from releasing music I practised mindfulness and stillness, and overcoming mild writer's block. I still worked on music in ways other than writing - I developed my music collection and started DJing some club nights, I worked extensively on collecting and organising my music, and improving my studio in such a way that I could have the best results going forward. I felt a huge progression in my music writing & production, and I started having a great time making tunes again.
The first result of this is Variable, my new single, which is a step in a new direction for me, towards more club-focused music. It has some industrial elements, but it also has a melodic section with some breakbeats. It’s for fans of driving, peak time techno. I have been loving industrial sounds and high tempo dark techno recently, and I guess it shows in this one.
I am releasing a ton of music over the coming months/years, over a small variety of electronic music genres, and will be playing them in clubs and festivals around Ireland.
